California Kingsnakes

The first pair of California Kingsnakes has been put together (introduced 2/7/08) and mating was observed the following day. The pair has been left together, it has been a week.

Panther Chameleons

The female has dug a test hole in a potted plant, but has not yet laid any eggs.

Update on this entry: 2/15/08 22 eggs were laid overnight after the female had been removed to a deep plastic bin containing approximately 8-10 inches of a sandy soil mix, slightly moistened. The eggs were removed and are currently being incubated in three different conditions. Initial incubation temperatures range from 68.6 F to 72.2 F. After two months of incubation, temperatures have risen slightly, topping out at 76.6 F.
